Embankment stabilisation is often but not always associated with retaining wall failure. Optera are experts in investigating and diagnosing the cause of slope failure. Whilst not exhaustive, slope failure is typically associated with increased weight at the top of the slope, water saturation, leading to a loss of skin friction, or a combination of the above. The soil type and logistics will often govern the method of resolution.
